How Colegatum works
You set up your network once, calmly. If one day you can’t communicate, a trusted person raises a single notice and each circle receives only what you decided.
How it works
Four steps, taken calmly and before they are needed
Create your circles
Family, friends, work, your team… You choose the names and who is in each one. They don’t need to install anything.
Decide what each circle will know
Your family can know the hospital and every update; your work, only that you won’t be available. You see an exact preview of each message.
Choose your trusted people
Only they can raise a notice on your behalf. They have to accept explicitly, and you can withdraw their permission whenever you like.
If something happens, they tell everyone once
Your trusted person raises the notice and each circle receives only what you decided. Updates arrive through the same channel, with no message chains.
What happens when someone raises a notice
An authorised person reports once
Your trusted person confirms their identity at that moment and explains what has happened, in a few steps and without having to think about who to write to.
Their permission is checked
Colegatum verifies that they have current permission to raise a notice on your behalf. If they don’t, they can only send a pending report.
Your privacy rules are applied
Each circle receives only the data you marked as visible. Nobody has to decide anything under pressure.
Your circles receive the notice
Through the app, by email or by text message, with neutral wording and a protected link. The details can only be seen after opening the link.
A single channel until you lift the notice
Updates arrive in the same place. When you are well again, you lift the notice and everyone knows.
One notice, a different message for each circle
You decide the level of detail before it is needed. Nobody has to improvise.

Trusted people and circle members are not the same
Members of your circles
They receive information. They can’t act on your behalf.
Trusted people
They can raise a notice, post updates or close the notice, only with the permissions you give them.
What if someone who isn’t a trusted person finds out?
Anyone in your circles can send a pending report. It doesn’t reach anyone else until one of your trusted people checks it and publishes it. Everyone will see who reported it and who verified it.
You take back control
When you are well again, you lift the notice and your circles know straight away. If someone raised a notice by mistake, you withdraw it and the correction is shared. You can always see who did what and when.
For people who receive a notice
- They don’t need to install anything: they get an email or a text message with a secure, private link.
- They only see what the person decided to share with their circle.
- If they don’t want to receive notices, they can opt out with one click.
