Four steps, taken calmly and before they are needed
Create your circles
Family, friends, work, your team… You choose the names and who is in each one. They don’t need to install anything.
Decide what each circle will know
Your family can know the hospital and every update; your work, only that you won’t be available. You see an exact preview of each message.
Choose your trusted people
Only they can raise a notice on your behalf. They have to accept explicitly, and you can withdraw their permission whenever you like.
If something happens, they tell everyone once
Your trusted person raises the notice and each circle receives only what you decided. Updates arrive through the same channel, with no message chains.

You decide the level of detail before it is needed. Nobody has to improvise.

Trusted people and circle members are not the same
Members of your circles
They receive information. They can’t act on your behalf.
Trusted people
They can raise a notice, post updates or close the notice, only with the permissions you give them.
What if someone who isn’t a trusted person finds out?
Anyone in your circles can send a pending report. It doesn’t reach anyone else until one of your trusted people checks it and publishes it. Everyone will see who reported it and who verified it.
You take back control
When you are well again, you lift the notice and your circles know straight away. If someone raised a notice by mistake, you withdraw it and the correction is shared. You can always see who did what and when.
For people who receive a notice
- They don’t need to install anything: they get an email or a text message with a secure, private link.
- They only see what the person decided to share with their circle.
- If they don’t want to receive notices, they can opt out with one click.

Frequently asked questions
Do my contacts have to install the app?
No. They can receive notices by email or text message with a secure link.
What happens when I add someone to a circle?
They receive a single message explaining what Colegatum is, who added them and to which circle. They will only hear from us again if something serious happens to you. They can opt out whenever they like, and you will see it.
Who can raise a notice on my behalf?
Only the trusted people you choose who have accepted. To raise a notice, they have to confirm their identity at that moment.
What if someone raises a notice by mistake or in bad faith?
You and your other trusted people will know instantly. You can withdraw it, and a record is kept of who did it.
Can there be more than one notice at a time?
Yes. Each notice stays active until it is closed.
Who closes the notice?
You do, when you are well again. A trusted person with that permission can also do it.
What health data is stored?
Only what is essential for the notice, such as the hospital, if you allow it to be shared. We don’t store medical records.
How long is the information kept?
Closed notices are deleted after a set period. The record that is kept does not contain the details of the notice.
Does the app watch me?
No. Colegatum doesn’t know your location or your activity.
